UPDATE - May 2008: I have [probably foolishly] taken upon myself the project of posting Bram Stoker's DRACULA in "real time", after enjoying previous efforts by others in ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) dracula1897 and over at Dracula Blogged. Both seem to be on hiatus for 2008, so I invite all to join me in my poor attempt to resurrect some gothic thrills and chills.

I keep ghostly company with an elegant white longfurred odd-eyed feline rogue and corporeal company with a dark and handsome human comic book dealer who doubles amazingly well as an engineer. I am a kitchen witch, a high-end audiophile, a journeyman Mathemagician, and a children's book expert. I am frequently to be found immersed in my books on astronomy, folklore and mythology, or else my two-volume set of ALL THE WORDS by Monty Python. I am an iron gargoyle in temperament, dyspeptic, sarcastic, and vain. But I have been moved to tears on occasion [just don't tell anyone...I have a reputation to uphold, after all] by the perfect image or written word or phrase of music."
From my former home at Callahan's Saloon, from which I seem to currently be in involuntary exile... "Sylph reads at a prodigious rate and on her nightstand one can usually find three or four books being read simultaneously, covering anything from physics to erotica to science fiction to anthropology to container gardening. There is always music playing in her house...blues, electronic, classical, Eighties dance club, album rock, jazz... Her house, built in 1914, has ghosts, but they seem to be a very merry sort, of the type to be readily caught in the act of 'bending elbows' at Callahan's.... at least the formerly human ghosts. The ghost cats, of course, prefer tuna."
